The Silk Road

At New York City's American Museum of Natural History, the “Trade and Travel Along the Silk Road” exhibit offers students an opportunity to locate and describe the geographic features of the four cities represented in the exhibition. See the Silk Road page for more details.

Boston Public Library: Norman B. Leventhal Map Center Teacher Resources

The Map Center's resources may be searched for topics, ideas and skills appropriate for Elementary, Middle and High School levels.

New York Public Library: Lionel Pincus and Princess Firyal Map Division

The Map Division holds more than 400,000 maps and 16,000 atlases and books about cartography, dating from the 16th century to the present. Six computer mapping workstations are located in the newly renovated Map Division for public use.

Washington, DC—Library of Congress Geography and Map Division
